Project Description
Traditionally, MSU Libraries offers a supportive environment for students preparing for finals. In previous years, the Mid-Michigan Spartans have assisted with stress relieving games, passing out thousands of donuts and delivering pizzas to study spaces. COVID safety standards have changed what alumni volunteers are able to assist with this year. The main offering for students will be goodie bags that the Mid-Michigan Spartans can help assemble and hand out over a series of days. A separate project sign-up exists for each task and date. Please review the options carefully.
GOODIE BAG DISTRIBUTION
Two volunteers are needed for each 2-hour shift to hand out goodie bags to students at the main MSU Library studying for finals. Volunteers will be stationed at a table and simply hand out bags to students who ask for one. All volunteers must wear a mask. It is requested individuals with known COVID exposures or with symptoms of illness not attend. Parking near the library is limited to reserved spaces. It is recommended volunteers park at an East Lansing parking lot and walk to the library or park at the pay-by-plate lot (Lot 62) by the stadium and IM building and walk to the rear entrance of the library.
Volunteers should report to the 1st floor reference desk and ask for Holly Flynn.

About Holly Flynn, MSU Libraries
The Main Library is located on West Circle Drive, south of Grand River Avenue in East Lansing. The Library has two entrances, the Beaumont Entrance on West Circle Drive and the Red Cedar Entrance on the south side of the building facing the Red Cedar River, which has a ramp.
