Indy Spartans Hosting Indy Half Marathon Water Station

Project Description

The Indy Spartans are hosting a water station at the Indy Half Marathon at Fort Benjamin Harrison. We've been supplying volunteers for this event for over a decade and in turn the Marathon makes a donation to our Indy Spartans Scholarship Fund!!!

We need at least 15 volunteers to make the station run smoothly. Spartans, family and friends are all welcome. Our responsibilities will include providing water and, more importantly, support to the participants as they make their way along the course. Duties include setting up and managing our assigned station: arranging tables and cups, mixing Nuun Hydration and fill cups, replenishing water and other nourishment as available, picking up and properly disposing of empty cups, and encouraging and cheering on participants.

Please follow these registration steps at the request of the marathon organizers: 

• All volunteers must register via Beyond Monumental’s online registration system. 
• You can access the online registration system by copying and pasting this link into your browser: https://beyondmonumental.volunteerlocal.com/volunteer/?id=63806. 
• You will need to submit your EMAIL and FIRST NAME to get started.
  • If you already have an account, you will immediately see the event page and shifts.
  • If you do not have an account, you will be prompted to complete your volunteer application before viewing shifts.

• VERY IMPORTANT STEP: Once you are on the Indy Half Marathon at Fort Ben event page, please insert the shift password in the password field in the top left. Your shift password is IHM22E2. The password is case sensitive.
