Project Description

Sacramento Spartans:

In preparation for the upcoming holidays, our alumni club is hosting a blanket-making party at Angie Strawn's home in the Arden area on Saturday, November 22, from 9:00 a.m. to noon to create 40 no-sew fleece blankets for Sacrament-area families and children in need.  The blankets wash beautifully and provide much warmth!

No experience is necessary!  The blankets are simple to make:  just cutting and tying strips of fleece, and you will be given instructions at the party. No need to bring anything except fabric shears if you have them. It takes about 1 to 1.5 hours to complete a blanket. If you cannot stay the whole time, you will be able to take the fleece home to finish and return.

Once you RSVP, you will receive additional information including the address. If you have questions, please email Angie at amstrawn@comcast.net. Please consider being a part of this alumni service project.
