Herron Morton Tree Planting

Project Description

This is a volunteer opportunity with Keep Indianapolis Beautiful (KIB). Join Herron Morton neighbors in a planting project to create a healthy tree canopy. We'll be planting 20, large growing, 1" caliper native trees. Native trees not only absorb storm water, lower the urban heat index, and provide shade - they also create a home for pollinators and promote biodiversity. KIB will provide the tools and training, just make sure to wear close toed shoes and weather appropriate clothing and arrive 15 minutes early for registration.
