Project Description

Interested in returning to campus and interacting with prospective students and their families? Facilitated through the Office of Admissions, Green & White Days is the largest annual prospective student program at Michigan State University. Specifically designed for students entering their senior year in high school, the program attracts approximately 8,000 prospective students and their families. It is open-house style and allows families to connect with campus resources and visit facilities not typically offered during regular campus tours.

The Office of Admissions in partnership with the Alumni Office are looking for alumni volunteers to:

  • Staff an MSUA informational table at the Green & White Days Resource Fair
  • Staff various campus tour locations across campus. Locations are:
    • Snyder-Phillips Hall
    • Emmons Hall
    • West Holmes Hall
    • East Holden Hall

Volunteers should be willing to:

  • Share their Spartan experience with the prospective students and family members
  • Meet and greet all prospective students and their families
  • Distribute information about Alumni Office initiatives
  • Direct attendees to the proper building(s) near your designated location

Schedule for the Day

11:00AM – Volunteers Report
11:30AM – Resource Fair & Campus Tours Begin
3:00PM - Resource Fair & Campus Tours Conclude
3:30PM – Green & Whites Days locations officially close

All volunteer opportunities are outside and tented. Please plan accordingly for the weather.  Your primary responsibility will be to direct attendees to the proper building you are stationed near.  All volunteer stations are next to a CATA bus stop.  The Office of Admissions will be providing with be providing coolers with bottled at each location along with a table and chairs.
