Sandwich Making with Mutual Aid Across DC

Project Description

What: Join DC Spartans as we gather at the Mutual Aid Across DC hub space to honor their one-year anniversary by making lunch bags they will be handing out to their clients tocelebrate! DC Spartans will be taking on the task of "sandwich assembly line" in hopes to make hundreds of sandwiches that will be ready for distribution.

When: Sunday, April 10 from 10 am to 12 pm EST

Where: The Hub Space is located at 744 Jefferson St NW. This is just over a mile walk from the Fort Totten metro, west towards 16th St Heights, and just over a mile walk from the Georgia Ave-Petworth metro, north towards Brightwood.

Who: We encourage all DC Spartans who are willing to participate, and able to, to join us for this service event. Please note that all volunteers will be required to stay masked during the service project. 

How: Register on the Spartans Serve site (serve.msu.edu) that you are participating in this event. DC Spartans Director of Community Service, Shanelle Oliver, will be coordinating with all registered volunteers the week of the event, so keep an eye out for an email from her. 

If you unable to participate, or would just like to contribute in another way, DC Spartans will be accepting donations via our paypal account - which will be used to purchase sandwich making supplies.
