Project Description

Join Tucson Spartans in serving Assistance League of Tucson for the 4th year! Assistance League has been serving the Tucson Community since 1959 and every dollar earned through their award winning Thrift Shop, grants, and donations stays in Tucson to benefit those most in need in our community. Key AL projects include Operation School Bell providing school children in need with appropriate clothing and supplies, Assault Survivor Kits, Starting Over Supplies providing basic household supplies to those who have left shelters or abusive home situations, Hooked on Books providing Title 1 schools with books to support their classrooms, Teddy Bears for children in emotional or physical crisis, and Toiletries for TUSD Students in need. Details at www.alTucson.org.

Tucson Spartan volunteers will gather at AL Tucson from 9am-12pm (or any time between) on Sunday, October 22 to help where most needed.  Specific needs will be outlined by AL and communicated to volunteers about a week before service.
