Project Description

The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan has an increased need for volunteers during November and December as they pack holiday boxes.  Join Genesee County Spartans again this year as we step up to the challenge!

Food Bank of Eastern Michigan Accommodations

  • Must be 12 years or older
  • Children under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult
  • Close-toed shoes are required and sneakers or boots are recommended. Clothing should fit comfortably, allowing volunteers to more freely. Tank top, midriff-baring shirts, and low-cut tops are not permitted. Temperature in the warehouse varies, so layers are recommended.

About Food Bank of Eastern Michigan

The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan serves as a common solicitor, storehouse, and distributor of food to a network of nearly 700 hunger relief partners throughout 22 counties.  The Food Bank has been committed to fighting hunger and working to meet the rising need since it first began as a small grass-roots organization in Genesee County in 1981.
