Twin City Spartans Alumni Packing Event with Every Meal
Hosted by Twin Cities Spartans.
Project Description
Every Meal wondered how they could reach children in the Twin Cities who live with food insecurity. Every Meal incorporated as a non-profit organization and launched pilot programs in Minneapolis reaching a total of 500 children in five schools. The pilot programs were successful and the team implemented a full launch.
Since then, Every Meal has grown from serving one school with a weekend food program to implementing multiple food gap programs serving over 10,000 children across 400 locations… and counting. Beginning in October 2020, Every Meal celebrated its 10 year anniversary and six million meals provided to children living with food insecurity in Minnesota.
Join Twin Cities Spartans to form assembly lines to pack bags of non-perishable food, including a variety of fruits, vegetables, proteins, grains, and soups/entrees. Every meal selects food that is nutritious, delicious, and relevant and offer a range of food to meet different cultural dietary preferences in our food bags.
There will be music, laughter and fun!

About Every Meal
More than 300,000 children in Minnesota live with food insecurity. Every Meal fights child hunger by focusing on filling the food gaps children face on weekends, extended breaks, and summer when they’re not able to access school meal programs. When they don’t have consistent access to enough food, the risk of hunger is very real. Through our multiple food gap programs, we provide children and families experiencing food insecurity with access to good food.
