Project Description

Come GET YOUR PINK ON!!

Join us as we cheer on the Susan G Komen 3-day Walkers at Glencoe Park in Dallas, TX

November 3, 2024 10:15a-1p

The DFW Spartans have been granted a private cheering section for 20 people as the 3-Day Walk participants leave the park after lunch and continue on their journey for the day.

Ideas to show your support walkers at our station
• Make special signs and hold them as walkers pass. Think pink!
• If it’s hot, refresh the walkers with squirts from a spray bottle or hose.
• Hand out popsicles or candy. Water and snacks are ideal. If you decide to hand out treats, please ensure they are individually packaged and please provide a trash receptacle.
• Play some fun and upbeat music.

Important rules and guidelines to be aware of:
• Private cheering groups should not exceed 20 people.
• Must provide your own transportation to/from the designated location and follow parking rules specified by the business, private or public lot.
• Must work independently with no Susan G. Komen 3-Day staff presence.
• Groups may wear their logo or feature a logo on their sample product but may not create signs co-branding their business/interest with the Susan G. Komen 3-Day (i.e. a sign that says “Nestle supports Susan G. Komen 3-Day walkers” is NOT permitted).
• May offer wrapped candy, snacks, water, or other non-alcoholic beverages to walkers.
• May decorate with signs, posters, balloons, etc.
• May play music if doing so does not interfere with nearby Quiet Zones, neighbors or businesses.
• Must provide trash and/or recycle containers and take trash bags with them so the site is left cleaner than it was found.
• Product distribution is intended to enhance the walker experience; please do not distribute literature or items too large for walkers to carry on the route.
• The 3-Day® forbids alcohol, smoking and firearms at all of its sites and on the route.
• Selling items is not permitted.

Tailgating activities (cooking food, setting up tents or pop-up canopies, drinking or distributing alcohol) are not permitted.
