PBS KIDS Day with WKAR

Project Description

**This project is for MSU affiliates and/or employees only.**

PBS KIDS^® Day with WKAR is an annual event recognizing the launch of the 24/7 PBS KIDS channel in January 2017. Last year, over 1,500 community members visited WKAR studios to celebrate and learn, engaging in activities hosted by local organizations, visiting with PBS KIDS^® characters, and enjoying presentations by WKAR’s very own Curious Crew!

WKAR is looking for volunteers to assist with registration, directing guests, monitoring quiet rooms, and more! All volunteers must complete a 30-minute virtual training on one of the dates listed below and complete a background check. All volunteer roles will require interacting with guests and will require long periods of standing. We look forward to serving our community with you!

Required Virtual Training Dates (choose 1)*:

• Wednesday, January 15^th 10-10:30 a.m.
• Friday, January 17^th 2-2:30 p.m.

*If unavailable for both dates, contact the volunteer coordinator.

WKAR Public Media Accommodations

• Must be 18 years or older
• Volunteers must wear black attire or MSU/Spartan attire with comfortable shoes for standing/walking for long periods of time.
