St. Vincent de Paul - Garden Volunteers

Project Description

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul’s three urban farms provide 33,000 pounds of produce, which helps feed individuals and families experiencing homelessness and food insecurity.  Join your fellow AZ Spartans to help with the care and maintenance of the Key Campus Urban Farm!  Activities may include weed & grass removal, watering, trash removal, turning compost, harvesting, planting, and chicken care.

Please wear Closed-toe shoes, and clothes that can get dirty. Bring SPF and a reusable water bottle.

Please Note:
The minimum age for this volunteer opportunity is 8 with a parent or guardian. All Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Volunteers ages 16 and 17 who aren't attending a project with a parent/guardian MUST bring a Youth Waiver signed by a parent or guardian, to each project.  If you would like to register your child, please email the Jon Janetsky (at jjanetsky@gmail.com) and ask to reserve a guest slot.

Arrival/Parking 

Parking Address:   1300 W Harrison St., Phoenix, AZ 85007    Please use gate code 4415

Volunteers at this location should enter through the parking lot via the gate at 13th Ave and Harrison. Please use gate code 4415.  Follow the road until you reach the blue building. Feel free to park in any open spot. The gate at 9th Ave and Jackson is exit only. If you have any difficulty getting in, please call their security front desk at 602-261-6864.
