Project Description

We have another partnership opportunity to volunteer at one of San Diego's best nonprofit organizations, Father Joe's Villages. Father Joe's helps individuals and families with housing and/or food insecurity. 

Time/Date: Saturday, Sept. 13, 4–6 p.m. We’ll meet at PMC Kitchen (1501 Imperial Ave.) 7 members of our San Diego Spartans will be helping the Father Joe's food services team with plating and distributing lunch to resident families in the Village. Kids ages 10+ can participate with an accompanied adult.

After registering, you will receive additional information on policies, parking, and proper attire. 

Parking information:  
Address - 1501 Imperial Ave., San Diego, CA 92101.
Please download and print your Parking Pass. Leave the Pass on the dashboard of your vehicle.
There is underground parking on 16th Street between Imperial and Commercial.  At the driveway entrance, press the intercom button to let security know that you are here to volunteer.
Please do not park in the “Reserved Parking” area to the left when coming down the ramp. Take the stairs or elevator to the lobby and check in on the tablet with Security.
Alternate parking is available on the corner of 16th Street and Logan Avenue. - Closed on weekends.

Father Joe's Villages Accommodations

  • Must be 10 years or older
  • Children under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult
  • Avoid bringing valuables, purses, or jackets into the building. There is no storage for these items. We recommend storing your belongings in your vehicle. Dress code: Face Mask, Long pants, closed-toe shoes, and a blouse or shirt that has sleeves (long or short is fine). For your safety, DO NOT WEAR: shorts, spandex pants, sandals, heels, muscle shirts, or tank tops. Chewing gum, eating candy, smoking/vaping, constantly using cell phones, wearing headphones or sunglasses are not allowed.

About Father Joe's Villages

Established in 1950 to serve San Diegans experiencing homelessness and poverty, Father Joe’s Villages has grown to include a comprehensive campus and scattered-site programs that house over 2,000 people nightly. It all began with a small chapel in downtown San Diego.
