DC Spartans | B1G Blood Drive
Hosted by D.C. Spartans.

Project Description
The DC Spartans are supporting a virtual blood drive to occur during the period of Oct. 19, 2025 through Nov. 1, 2025. All DC Spartans are encouraged to donate blood during this time and register the donation for the Abbott Big Ten Blood Challenge (https://bigten.org/abbott/). We invite friends and family to donate to our virtual drive as well. By donating blood, each person will increase the chances of the Spartans winning the Big Ten Blood Challenge and collecting the $1 million to be used for student or community health. Every registered donation helps patients in need and counts as a vote for MSU.
DC Spartans and their friends and family members can donate at a convient location of their choice. Each donor will need to fill out the required form on the Big Ten Website (https://bigten.org/abbott/) to help MSU one-up the other Big Ten schools and win big. As a thank you, each donor will get a limited-edition Homefield Spartan T-shirt (while supplies last). To receive your shirt, have a picture taken of you donating blood. Upload your proof of donation (or attempt to donate) on-line, or text DONATE to 222688 (ABBOTT). Watch for an email with a instructions on how to claim the free T-shirt. Enter your shipping address to receive your shirt for donating blood, supporting the Spartans, and saving lives.
Per the American Red Cross, every 2 seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood and or platelets. Approximately 29,000 units of red blood cells are needed each and every day in the U.S. Let's do our part DC to help the Spartans win, ensure and adequate blood supply, save lives, and have fun.
