Project Description

Please join us for a volunteering event during our Michigan State vs Penn State game watch at LTD!

We will be packing care kits for the Ronald McDonald House. Nothing brings joy quite like opening a bag filled with treats, toys, and other delightful surprises. Parents and caregivers often take these kits to their child in the hospital or save them for crucial moments of distraction after a long day.

With impacts to SNAP benefits, providing families and individuals in need with essential items, food, snacks, or items of celebration can make a tremendous impact on their day to day life.

General Kit Guidelines
Treats:
Non-perishable only.
Individually wrapped.
If including baked goods, they must be commercially made and factory sealed in individual servings (nothing homemade, please).
If including anything with known common allergens (nuts, for example), please label the outside of the bag with this information.

Toys and other items:
Please avoid slime, glitter, and toys that fly (we have so much trouble with cleaning up and or rescuing these!).

Safety precautions: Over half the children at the House are under the age of five. Do not include latex balloons, hard candies, or other choking hazards.
