Project Description

The Saginaw Spartans are holding a donation drive for 'Sleep In Heavenly Peace'. They are a non-profit in Saginaw that ensures, "no kid sleeps on the floor in our town". With help from volunteers like us, they make and deliver twin-sized beds to children in Saginaw that do not have one.

We will be collecting brand new, twin-sized: comforters, sheet sets, comforter sets, pillows, and mattress covers. You can drive-through to drop off your donation from 2-4, or bring it to the MSU vs Michigan Basketball game watch that starts at 4.

We will also collect cash donations, then present a check to Sleep in Heavenly Peace.

All donations will be delivered when our club serves with them on April 23rd, 2026 (details tbd. registration for that event will also be on this site). On that day, we invite you to come help prepare and assemble bed components needed to construct beds for children who have no bed and may be sleeping on the floor. Choose from one or more of the 13 work stations, no skill, tools, or materials required. In just a few hours of your time, you can make a direct, permanent impact in the quality of life for dozens, if not hundreds and maybe even thousands of kids in our community.

Your registration for this event can help our club be prepared for volume of donations we will need to store and is greatly appreciated!

Community Partner - Sleep In Heavenly Peace

About Sleep In Heavenly Peace

At SHP, we fully believe that a bed is a basic need for the proper physical, emotional and mental support that a child needs. When it was brought to our attention that the need for beds went far beyond our own neighborhoods, we stepped up and took initiative. We’re a national organization answering the call to a national problem.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace is where it is today because of the passionate volunteers who believe in the mission of getting kids off the floor and into beds. In just a few hours of your time, you can make a direct, permanent impact in the quality of life for dozens, if not hundreds and maybe even thousands of kids in your community.

We’re always looking for volunteers to build bunks, go on bed deliveries, be vocal advocates for our mission and start new SHP Chapters in unserved communities.
