Twin Cities Spartans Volunteer Opportunity — Second Harvest Heartland

Project Description

Join fellow Spartans for a meaningful evening giving back to our community. We’re volunteering at Second Harvest Heartland to help pack and distribute food for neighbors facing hunger.

Where: Second Harvest Heartland Brooklyn Park
When: Wednesday, April 8
Time: 6–8 p.m.

Every box packed helps put food on the table for families across Minnesota and western Wisconsin. It’s a simple way to make a real impact — and a great chance to connect with the Spartan community.

Second Harvest Heartland Accommodations

• Must be 8 years or older
• Children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult
• Closed-toe shoes are required. Shirts should cover the shoulders and armpits (no tank tops). All clothing should be appropriate for handling food and not have loose, dangling beads or other articles which can be a physical contaminant. We suggest you dress in layers to remain comfortable while working as the temperature can fluctuate. We suggest you wear clothes you don't mind getting a bit dirty. No jewelry. Before entering the packing areas, you will be asked to remove all jewelry.
