Project Description

Join us on May 22 as we repack donated and purchased food. The food received at the warehouse comes in bulk quantities, and volunteers break it down into manageable sizes. Together, we can properly and efficiently distribute quality food to participating food pantries, soup kitchens, and shelters in Cook County.

About Greater Chicago Food Depository

We partner with a large network of food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and programs to distribute food and resources for any of our neighbors facing hunger. In addition to providing help to anyone in need, we support and administer programs tailored towards specific populations.

By 2030, the Greater Chicago Food Depository envisions a future where every person in every neighborhood has reliable, dignified access to three meals a day. No matter their zip code, income, or circumstance. That’s the goal.? We believe that food is a human right.
