D.C. Spartans | Michigan Veterans Honor Flight Welcoming
Hosted by D.C. Spartans.
Project Description
Join us as we welcome Michigan veterans as they arrive at National Airport for a memorable visit to Washington, D.C. These flights are organized by Talons Out Honor Flight-, a veterans organization that provides free flights for veterans to be able to visit the memorials and monuments honoring them......and we have the opportunity to participate and make them feel welcome in DC as they arrive and are on their way to visit important DC memorials and monuments.
The flight is scheduled to arrive at 8 a.m., Saturday, May 16. We are coordinating with American Airlines to be able to obtain gate passes so that we can go through security and meet the veterans at the gate area as they disembark. Because of this, you must pre-register by Thursday, May 14 so that we can provide a list of people attending and gate passes can be issued by our American Airlines contact. As per American Airlines we will need your name/gender/date of birth to obtain gate passes.
You should park in the garage that says Garage/Parking Terminal 2 - American Airlines. Once you park, go to level 2, walk towards the terminal. You will then see an airport info counter near North Terminal security check point on your left. Around the corner from there, we will have a podium that says Honor Flight Gate Passes. You will get your gate pass and proceed to security and to the gate.
Gate passes end at 7:15 a.m. so please plan to bet there by 7 a.m. We will plan to meet at the Honor Flight Gate Passes podium at 7:15 a.m.
