Project Description

Join us the first Wednesday of each month at the South Michigan Food Bank (5451 Wayne Road, Battle Creek)…..A great volunteer opportunity. You may help put together After School Packs, repackage/label food stuff, and/or handle line-rescue items from cereal factories, or preparing food items and packaging for clients in 8 counties.

Volunteer Requirements: Age: 12 years old or older.

Clothing: Please dress in comfortable clothing such as jeans, t-shirts, and tennis shoes. All volunteers must wear closed-toed shoes. All volunteers will receive instructions, training and sign a liability waiver upon arrival.

About South Michigan Food Bank

The South Michigan Food Bank is a major hunger relief organization serving eight counties and distributing million of meals annually through partner pantries, mobile markets and related programs. They provide food to those in need.
