Project Description

SERVE WITH THE SPARTANS

Volunteering at Minnie's Food Pantry is a one-of-a-kind, red carpet experience. During your volunteer shift, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to those listed below. Only through your efforts can Minnie's Food Pantry achieve our mission of feeding the hungry and we are so grateful for all of our volunteers and look forward to the time we get to spend and serve together.

Volunteer Tasks Include

  • interacting with clients
  • providing concierge service to clients
  • loading client vehicles (Minnie's serves via drive thru service)
  • preparing cold bags
  • unloading trucks
  • stocking shelves
  • sorting items
  • preparing boxes

Community Partner - Minnie’s Food Pantry

Minnie’s Food Pantry Accommodations

  • Must be 16 years or older
  • Children under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult
  • Please wear closed-toe shoes and appropriate clothing such as jeans, shorts, and t-shirts. Sandals/flip-flops, extremely short skirts/shorts, or low-cut shirts are not permitted. Volunteers wearing open-toed shoes or inappropriate clothing will not be allowed to serve.

    All volunteers planning to attend MUST secure their volunteer experience by completing the ABOVE volunteer registration form! For those who have already volunteered with us, you may be asked to create an account if you don’t have one already! Volunteer Expectations 7:45 AM: Registration & check-in. 8AM: orientation, and task assignment.   8AM – 12PM: Volunteer experience. 12PM: Wrap-up Please note: Volunteers must serve the entire shift (7:45 AM – 12:00 PM).

About Minnie’s Food Pantry

We provide healthy meals, educational resources, & the red-carpet treatment to every person we serve.

Minnie's Food Pantry (MFP) is a nonprofit organization headquartered in Plano, Texas. We believe that overall wellness begins with healthy food and financial education. Our ultimate goal is to provide numerous programs that help families gain long-term food security and to break the generational curse of people (especially children) in low-income areas not having access to fresh fruits and vegetables
