Animal Defense League Donation Drive

Project Description
The San Antonio Spartans are partnering with the Big Ten Alumni Council of San Antonio to have a Networking Night that will also act as a donation drive for the Animal Defense League. Meet other Spartans, other Big Ten Alumni and make a donation to animals in need.

Chartered in 1934, the Animal Defense League is a non-profit organization that is a true no-kill shelter for abandoned, abused, or neglected dogs and cats. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for these animals by providing needed medical care, including spaying and neutering. Food, shelter, and safety are also provided – along with compassion and attention. Our club is going to help with the food and shelter part during this event.

We'll be accepting general needs items like: Paper Towels, Hand Sanitizer, Laundry Detergent; Bleach, Dawn Dishwashing Liquid Soap, Windex, Vinegar, Trash Bags (33 gallon), Newspapers (not shredded), Brooms and String Mops, Copy Paper, Lawnmowers and Edgers, Electric Space Heaters, Weedeaters and Lawnmowers, Steam Mops.

We'll be accepting pet-related items like: KONG and “hard plastic” toys, Leashes & Collars, Blankets (any size new or gently used & clean), Towels (new or gently used & clean), Baby Wipes (unscented), Dog & Cat Toys (new or gently used & clean), Puppy & Kitten Toys (new or gently used & clean), Dog & Cat treats, Puppy training pads, Heating Pads, Nebulizers, Esbilac Puppy Formula (unopened), KMR Kitten Milk Replacement (unopened), Plastic Kiddie Pools.
