Project Description

September 10th: Suicide Awareness Poster Creation and Use. This is a two part event in Military City USA. Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) hosts ‘We Care Day’, where helping groups, like ours, stand at JBSA gates with posters to build connections and show that we care about the lives of all people who come to JBSA during World Suicide Awareness Month.

  • The first part takes place during half-time of the September 10th Akron gamewatch.  We will make posters to show support to all service members that will enter various Joint Base San Antonio locations on September 16th.
  • The second part takes place on September 16th but, is only available to those that have DOD/CAC access to JBSA.

Service members and civilians will be at entrances to JBSA locations, with signs of support for those entering the installation. They may also greet children at schools in the various independent school districts.
