Project Description

The Genesee County Spartans will spend the morning of September 17 at the North End Soup kitchen in Genesee county from 9am until noon. We will help to prepare meals, serve food and clean up. This will help people in Genesee county who may need some assistance during a time when food insecurity is high. We look forward to showing what Spartan service means for the local community. All ages are welcome and they will not turn down any help. Please join the Genesee County Spartans in our week of service project.

About North End Soup Kitchen

Thirty million Americans are affected by hunger. One in five children go hungry every month.  Hunger affects how people perform at work, how children perform in school, and how people view their communities and their lives. Last year we served almost 200,000 meals to the residents of Genesee and Shiawassee Counties. Our programs provide vital support to the communities we serve, giving them not only a hot meal, but also relief from the cold and a place to socialize.
