MSU Finals Countdown Event
Hosted by Mid-Michigan Spartans.
Volunteer registration is closed.
Project Description
The main library at MSU is a popular destination for students studying for finals. MSU Libraries' staff is creative in finding ways to alleviate stress and encourage breaks during this hectic time for students. One popular event at the main library is the Countdown to Finals event featuring cames, stress releaving activities and refreshments.
For this project, the Mid-Michigan Spartans are seeking two volunteers to help library staff handout snacks & run activities during the event, and put away food & clean-up materials at the conclusion.
Parking at the library is hard to find during finals week. There are options available nearby if you have trouble finding a spot in the small lots surrounding the library. The parking lot on the north side of Spartan Stadium (by the IM building and adjacent to The Spartan statue) has a pay-by-plate option. At night, the path from the rear library door, over the bridge and into that parking lot is well lit. In the past, volunteers have opted to park in their favorite East Lansing lot/garage along Grand River and walk to the Main Library.
Volunteers for this project should report to the main circulation desk on the first floor and tell the employee you are an alumni volunteer for the Countdown to Finals event.
