Career Closet Donation Drive

Project Description

The MSU Career Services Network has launched a Career Closet for current students to obtain access to career-ready clothing for all their professional development needs. In support of this initiative, they are hosting a Professional Clothing Drive to collect gently used business casual and professional clothing from March 20 - April 28.
 
For many students, getting access to appropriate and professional attire for career fairs, interviews and networking events is a struggle. This new clothing closet will provide MSU students with free access to gently used business, business casual and professional attire to help make a great first impression and feel confident in their interactions with employers.
 
How You Can Help
Do you have current professional attire gathering dust in your closet due to changing dress codes, seasons? Have you adopted a capsule or minimalist wardrobe, or just Marie Kondo-ed your wardrobe? Gather your clean, gently used professional clothes and drop off at our two locations to support current students in their paths to career success.

Clothing Criteria: 

• Modern professional suits and suit separates (jackets/sport coats, pants, skirts and dresses), and button up shirts and women’s blouses
• Business casual basics - jackets, blouses, shirts, pants 
• Basic workwear colors -grey, black, navy, brown/khaki
• Gently used/like new dress shoes and belts
• Recently cleaned
• No rips, tears, missing buttons, or stains
• Inclusive sizing, men’s, women's, gender neutral

Open Monday - Friday between 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
