Project Description

Assist the MSU Office of Sustainability, the W.J. Beal Botanical Garden and Infrastructure Planning and Facilities to maintain the universities pollinator gardens along the Red Cedar River.  Drop in for 10 minutes or the whole lunch hour and take a moment to relax with some gardening. Volunteers will assist with invasive species removal and weeding.  Gloves and some hand tools will be provided.

All volunteers should gather along the Red Cedar River directly behind the Minskoff Pavilion.  Representatives from MSU Sustainability and Beal Garden will be waiting for you to provide instruction.

About MSU Pollinator Gardens

As a Bee Campus USA affiliate, a diverse group of MSU partners are collaborating to build upon our recent successes and continue to rally the Spartan community together to protect pollinators and create positive change through expanded learning and engagement opportunities. MSU Infrastructure Planning and Facilities, W.J. Beal Botanical Garden, and the Office of Sustainability are working together in collaboration with student groups like Sustainable Spartans to bring more pollinator gardens to campus and serve as stewards of these important spaces.
