Project Description

In collaboration with the Spartan Food Security Council and the Center for Community Engaged Learning, the Sophomore Class Council is hosting a 5K race on Saturday, April 13.  They are in need of 25 volunteers to assist with race logistics.  Volunteer duties will be assigned the morning of the race.

About the Race

  • Purpose:  To engage the community in giving back and coming together for a common cause.
  • The group will be accepting donations of non-perishable foods and other items as part of the registration.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Check-In
All volunteers must register/check-in at the Spartan Days of Service kick-off event held in the Business College Complex, Room N130.  After the short program, race organizors will meet with the project volunteers and escort them to their volunteer location.

Meals & T-Shirts
During check-in and the program a light breakfast will be available to all volunteers.  Prior to departure, volunteers can select a box lunch, and will receive a Spartan Days of Service t-shirt.  Vegan and gluten free options will be available.

Schedule for the Day
8:15 a.m. – Registration Opens
9:00 a.m. – Welcome & Program 
9:15 a.m. - Lunches & T-Shirts  
9:30 a.m - Depart for volunteer location
