Project Description

Join Genesee County Spartans as we partner with Michigan State University's College of Human Medicine for a Teddy Bear Health Fair!

This free community event aims to promote health awareness in a fun and safe environment. There's also a special ask for Spanish speaking alumni as this is the first time there will be a bilingual tent. PLEASE NOTE: The event WILL NOT be held at the College of Human Medicine, but at the Flint Cultural Center.

CHM is excited to host the event with the the CRIM Foundation’s Marti Austin Kids Classic.

Here's a list of some of volunteer activities:

1. Art station where kids can color, using sidewalk chalk and making tie dye t-shirts

2. Giveaway booth

3. Drive the Teddy Bear Ambulance (golf cart)

4. Set up "exam rooms" for the doctors and medical students to do health checks on children's stuffies and dolls.

5. Assist the Nutrition Team from PPHI wilth cooking demonstration

6. Assist with the "interfacing" the Teddy Bear Fair with Marti Austin Kids Classic.
