SA Spartans support Haven for Hope

Project Description

This service project has multiple facets. Regardless of your time availability, age, physical limitations, and financial restraints, this event is perfect for everyone! Join us for Happy Hour, or stick around for dinner! We will be assembling 150 lunch bags and 50 birthday cake kits.

1) First, donors had the opportunity to purchase the supplies we needed from Amazon. The club will NOT bear any expenses due to generous donations from our members.

150 LUNCH BAGS SUPPLIES PURCHASED:

• Water: Donated
• Gallon zipper bags: ~$15
• Vienna sausages: ~$95
• Fruit cups: ~$93
• Granola bars: ~$35
• Crackers: ~$57
• Chips: ~$65

50 BIRTHDAY SETS PURCHASED:

• Pan w/lid: ~$36
• Cake Mix: ~$93
• Cake frosting: ~$96
• Birthday cards: ~$25
• Can of Sprite: ~$50

Donations were/are accepted two ways:

        A. Order directly from our Amazon list, which is done.

        B. You can still make a Venmo donation to @satxmsu, last 4 of phone number 9697. Please be sure to include H4H. We will be presenting a check to Haven for Hope with any unused donations.

2) Second, board members will shop to ensure we have all the supplies we need, in the correct quantities.

3) We'll meet at Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux (1400 Pantheon Way, SATX) to assemble the lunch bags and birthday kits on Thursday, July 25th, from 5-7 PM CST

4) You'll go home knowing you made a difference in our community. You lent a helping hand to those in need.
