Project Description

Please join Spartans in West Michigan as we partner with current MSU students to Celebrate Black History Month by serving our local and global communities. At 20 liters we will assemble water filtration systems for use in Rwanda to aid in the delivery of clean water to its residents. There is no heavy lifting required and Spartans of all ages are welcome! 20 liters, a nonprofit organization whose name reflects the World Health Organization's recommended 20 liters of clean water per person every day for drinking and hygiene, works to make dirty water clean for the most vulnerable through long-lasting and innovative solutions. By partnering with World Relief Rwanda, the organization mobilizes local churches, teaches health and hygiene skills, and delivers innovative and durable technologies in rural communities. By training and equipping volunteers and leaders from each sector, the communities are empowered to lead the change and sustain the impact. This opportunity is coordinated in partnership with the Spartans Will. SERVE campus committee. You will be serving with current MSU students. Students interested in volunteering need to register through the student portal.
