East Lansing Kiwanis Annual Chicken BBQ fundraiser

Project Description

 Since 1957 the Kiwanis Club of East Lansing has sponsored an Annual Chicken BBQ. Over the years, it has become a summertime tradition in East Lansing. The East Lansing Kiwanis Community Band performs a pop concert, Sparty will be on hand to greet folks, and a good time will be had by all. Most importantly, the proceeds from the event support our club's many service activities that improve the nutrition, literacy, safety, education, and development of the children of our community (click here to see where the money goes).

If you can spare three hours, we need volunteers to help us at the BBQ. The tasks are varied-selling tickets at a booth, passing out food on a buffet line, giving folks drinks and desserts, etc. It's a fun way to meet new people and to make a difference in the lives of local children.
