We are excited to bring a full week of service opportunities for the 2022 Spartan Serve Week!

Our Wednesday project for the 2022 Spartans Serve week is requesting unsealed letters/cards to a current on-campus student. We all need a good ol' "pick me up" from time to time. We would like to encourage current students during their journey and to remind them that we are rooting for them.

Letters/Cards can be dropped off by meeting us on Tuesday, September 29, 2022 at Southfield Public Library located on 26300 Evergreen Rd., Southfield, MI 48076 or during our upcoming game watch on Saturday, September 24, 2022.

We invite you to participate in the entire Spartans Serve Week service activities:

September 18 - Volunteers are encouraged to donate 18.55 to our MSUBA-OC endowment.
September 19 - Volunteers can donate gently used clothing or school supply items.
September 20 - Volunteers can write a letter or card of encouragement to a current Spartan student.
September 21 - Volunteers can write a letter or card to a senior citizen.
September 22 - Volunteer to D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything and Read) at an elementary school.
September 23 - Volunteer to Pay it Forward: The chapter encourages volunteers to do “small acts of kindness.”
September 24 - Volunteers are asked to bring a canned good or non-perishable item to our game watch party.

About Brilliant Detroit

In 2015 Brilliant Detroit was created to provide a radically new approach to kindergarten readiness in neighborhoods. The idea was to create a unique delivery model in our approach to early childhood development by using underutilized housing stock to create early child and family centers in neighborhoods.
